This section of this website is intended to be for the
Honorable Judges and for other members of the
Judiciary.

Judiciary has time and again, acknowledged the
misuse of Gender Biased Laws and has repeatedly
urged the Legislature to make provisions to protect
innocent citizens.

The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India coined the term
"Legal Terrorism" for the misuse of 498A. Supreme
Court has also been very critical of the Domestic
Violence Act and called it "clumsily drafted". The
Delhi High Court had expressed concern that the
Domestic Violence Act would go the same way as the
anti-dowry law 498A, which in the court's opinion, "is
the most misused section of the Indian Penal Code"

The Honorable Judges are perhaps in the best
position to understand the far reaching ramifications
of such myopic laws. They are also in the best
position to grant relief to innocent families.

We appeal to the Honorable Judges to do everything
in their power to protect the interests of the innocent
citizens.
