Educational Experience: Graduation in Mass communication, Journalism, Political Science, Sociology or English Masters degree in Humanities/Social Sciences/Social Work from tier one college with impressive grades.

Rakshak Foundation is looking for an excellent content writer with a keen interest in policy and social issues. Excellent understanding of current affairs, socio-political issues, policy updates, governance and economic issues, judicial issues is required.

Content writer will take complex information from various sources and communicate it clearly, concisely and accurately without relying on technical or corporate jargon to explain what they’re trying to say. Content writer will the key link between researchers, interns, various stakeholders and the external users.

Content writer will be expected to juggle between wide varieties of projects under tight deadlines. This position requires all levels for editing from developmental edit to rewrite to copyedit. In this job, you’ll work both independently and as part of smaller teams, confidently managing a variety of interests while interacting with range of stake holders.

Roles and responsibilities

• Write, edit, publish and maintain high-quality content for a range of written material
• Edit and write external communications for the organization
• Edit documentation and web pages for clarity, organization, and effectiveness of the work undertaken.
• Provide constructive feedback and guide the work of authors to improve their writing skills
• Edit, write, and publish a range of high quality content: On social media feeds, newsletters, case studies
• Create and edit brochures, proposals, research reports, articles, communications, blogs, web content
• Write, edit and update Search Engine Optimized web content
• Coordinate social media communication in alignment with ongoing projects and their requirements

• Graduation in Mass communication, Journalism, Political Science, Sociology or English
• 2+ years experience in writing, editing, blogging content with social relevance
• Crisp, clear oral writing and editing skills
• Deep familiarity of how people interact with content on different platforms across Social Media
• Passion and understanding of Social and Development sector is a must
