Project: Understand and evaluate Civil and Administrative Reforms Processes in India
Institute: 3rd Year BTech IIT Kanpur
Mentor: Professor. Milindo Chakrabarti
Mentor Affiliation: Sharda University
Internship Feedback:

Most of the topics were brilliantly chosen, taking into account both the relevance of the problem and the limited time period in which research had to be done. Arranging such high profile mentors is commendable. The structure of the project, with clearly illustrated points for direction, as well as the routine presentations and reports were useful in inculcating a sound foundation for scientific research and regularity. The mid-term and final reports introduced most of the interns to the scientific way of writing professional reports to be presented to those who are concerned.

1. Guest Lectures : Being a student who would like to make a career in Government Services, i got so much information about the various aspect of the government. People are generally cynical about entering the government due to reasons, but the answer to this lies in joining in for a change.
2. Much needed outings after the mid sem presentations
3. Being a person who primarily joined this program to get to know more from the persons in the civil services fraternity, I am more than happy and satified. I got to interact with IAS, IPS, IFS, IRTS officers through this program. Coudnt have expected more!!

Sulabh Tiwari

Project: Economical & Social Analysis of Metro as a solution to Urban Transportation
Institute: 2nd Year BTech IIT Kanpur
Mentor: Shri. Rakesh Ranjan
Mentor Affiliation: Planning Commission
Internship Feedback:

There are some things that I liked in the internship program.
1st one is that each intern was assigned a Mentor who was either a prof. or IAS/IPS/etc. , an expert in the area of project. It certainly provided good guidance & strong support to the intern.
2nd thing was deciding a centre for internship i.e. IIT Kanpur. 'All interns in one place' provided the atmosphere of discussion which ultimately helped in improving the project performance & also enhanced the knowledge & skills of interns.
(I would like to suggest that next time, internship centre should be Delhi. It is the capital, majority of offices are there. So information, departments, bureaucrats would be easily accessible.)
The documentary sessions, guest lectures was another good aspect but I think the frequency of these should be increased.

Prakhar Srivastava

The people, everyone from management team to the interns who made a seemingly difficult internship an enjoyable one.
